Even though you may not need PFLAG, PFLAG needs you! Your financial support helps us meet our Mission of Support, Education and Advocacy. To give you an idea of what we do, here is a list of our activities for last year.

PFLAG Atlanta is a 501(c) (3) organization.  Under IRS guidelines, the full amount of any gift and/or membership is deductible as a charitable contribution. Donations and memberships are never shared with other entities or even members other than those authorized by the Atlanta Board.

Membership and General Donations
We encourage you to join PFLAG Atlanta as a member to support our local chapter. If you prefer not to join as a member, we are happy to accept any donation you wish to make to keep our chapter and outreach efforts functioning.  

Scholarship Donations
Each year PFLAG Atlanta sends out scholarship application information to every high school and most colleges in Georgia. There are a lot of procedures employed to keep the application process as fair and impartial as possible. Our scholarship program is managed by an independent administrator and we are only given the names of the winners once they have been selected.  

Raising funds is always a challenge. We gladly accept all donations with much appreciation. No donation is too small or too large.  

• The Dean's List
  An individual or group who donates $50 or more in one year to the General Scholarship fund becomes a member of the Dean's List and is mentioned in the Scholarship Reception Program for that year.   A new Dean's List begins every June 1st. This is also the perfect size donation for gifts and an appropriate letter will be send to the honoree as well as the donor.
• Individual Named Scholarships
  A named scholarship is the perfect answer for groups or individuals who wish to give out scholarships, but don't have the resources or a structure in place for scholarship promotion, impartial judging and selection.
  A minimum $2000 must be available in the named account by May 15, for a scholarship to be given that year or it will carry over to the following year. It may also be donated to our general scholarship fund if desired.
