PFLAG conducts several free support group meetings every month in and around the Atlanta GA metropolitan area. The schedule is listed below for each chapter. Even if the meeting date falls on a holiday, we still meet as usual. Are you looking for PFLAG chapters elsewhere in the country?
Meetings are FREE to attend. You DO NOT need to RSVP in advance. All are welcome - lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and parents, families and straight allies are invited. You are also welcome to bring someone who can support you - a spouse, child, relative, friend or neighbor.

What can I expect at a PFLAG support group meeting?
During support group meetings, the attendees are divided into small groups and each group is led by a trained facilitator. We value confidentiality in our support groups because it allows people to share openly. You may say as much or as little as you like, no one will ever force you say a word. In the warm and supportive atmosphere many newcomers find that they are able to put troubling thoughts and fears into words for the first time and receive reassurance, guidance and facts.
The important distinction between a PFLAG support group and a counseling or therapy session, is that we try not to give you advice. We believe in the power of listening and sharing our stories and experiences as a tool for self-development. Many have claimed that they get more out of a single (free!) PFLAG support group than they ever did from years of therapy. PFLAG’s goal is to keep families together by promoting understanding and love.
Free PFLAG literature is available as you come in.
